Education


1981 - graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a specialization in Engineer-physicist.

Professional activity


1981 – 1988– engineer (Polyus Research Institute).

1988 – 1990 - research scientist (Polyus Research Institute).

1990 – 2014 - Head of the department (Polyus Research Institute).

2014 – 2016 - Head of the Research and Production Complex of Solid-State Laser Devices (Polyus Research Institute).

2016 – 2017 - Deputy General Director for Solid-State Laser Devices (Polyus Research Institute).

2017 – present - Head of the Research and Production Complex of Solid-State Laser Devices (Polyus Research Institute).

Scientific activity


M. M. Zemlyanov is a specialist in the field of optoelectronics and quantum electronics and is the Chief designer of unique receiving modules for on-board aircraft complexes of the 5th generation aircraft as well as on-board and ground equipment for the «Angara» missile and space complex ground measurement system and many other products. He is the author of more than 40 scientific papers and of more than 20 inventions in the field of optoelectronics.
